The Case for Healing Pt 24 The book of Acts

In our series, the case for healing, we have to ask, is the book of Acts still relevant for today? When the Bible says that, "You shall receive power after that the Holy ghost comes upon you." Is that power still available today? And if the power is still available, then what do we see as an effect of this power upon people? We see healings, miracles and demons cast out. Lets talk about it.

In our series, the case for healing, we have to ask, if it were not Gods will to heal, then why commission us to lay hands on the sick and see them be made well? Why did Paul say that the laying on of hands is a basic bible doctrine of the church? If it were Gods will for sickness and diseases, why not commission us to lay hands on the well and make them sick? Lets talk about it.

If one says that they do not believe in miracles or healing today, you would have to also say you do not believe in Gods mercy for today! In our series, The case for healing, we wanted to make the argument that God is a healing God, a miracle working God. We say it all the time, "God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good." Well would a good God give a cancer? Would a good God allow you to be sick, diseased? Would a good God let you break your leg for some mysterious reason? God is a good father, so we have to ask, what do good fathers do? 

The Case for healing Pt. 16 Healing through the resurrection

In our series, the case for healing we are looking into proof through the word of God to find if it is Gods will to heal or is it not? We should be able to find Gods will in this subject as we have in every other topic we hold near and dear to the faith. Why can we believe the bible when it speaks of salvation, murder, fornication, gossip, slander, etc but for some reason cannot believe it when it speaks of healing or miracle? 

What about the resurrection? If you believe that Jesus did in fact raise from the dead, then you are going to have to believe some of the side effects of that for believers. Healing and miracles are a part of it.
