Sermon of the week. Divine discomfort.

Have you ever felt discomfort in a season of your life? Youve accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, been walking with Him for some time, things seemed to be going good and then a season of discomfort. Many times, as we are experiencing these feelings, we often begin to blame the enemy. But what if it was a divine discomfort? Could it be that God in His wisdom, has created a discomfort for the purpose of driving you out of a stale season and into something new and fresh? Lets talk about it. 

The gifts of the Spirit. The gift of prophesy.

In our series, The gifts of the Spirit, we have been looking into each individual gift of the Spirit found in I Corinthians 12. Today we are looking at the gift of prophesy. This has been very misunderstood in that some would believe themselves to walk in the office of a prophet because this gift has been manifest in their life. We have others who have walked in simple prophesy and confuse that with the gift. One is for exhortation, edification and comfort while the other is a foretelling and revelation from God through man. Lets talk about it.

The gifts of the Spirit. The gifts of healings.

In our series, The gifts of the Spirit, we are looking into each individual gift of the Spirit found in 1 Corinthians 12. Today we are looking at The gifts of healings. Here we find the only gift that is plural. This gift is the supernatural manifestation of the spirit of God to deliver/heal the sick and destroy the works of the devil in the human body. This particular gift has often been confused with what all believers have been encouraged to do by faith and through faith. We have to recognize this gift because when in operation, it has the potential to defy what you think you know, thus creating the possibility for fear to come in. Lets talk about it.

Join us for The sermon of the week. Church@The MHC Sunday August 29th 10am. When bombarded by the negative reports of the world, we know it can get very overwhelming. How should we, as believers respond to such reports? Pastor Don Allen explains what our response should be. Our answer should always be: Thats not what I heard! Jesus shows us a response that always produces results, "Devil it is written." Get into the word of God, find the report that you desire, and allow that to be the report that you have heard.

We have to admit that most of the church world is indeed ignorant when it comes to these gifts. We often confuse the gifts of the Spirit with the things we all have been encouraged to do by faith and through faith. Today lets look at the working of miracles, that divine intervention in the ordinary course of nature, a temporary suspension of the accustomed order through the Spirit of God.

Sermon of the week. August 15 2021. No regrets. Join Pastor Don Allen as we discuss regrets. Have you ever done something that you knew was not pleasing to God? We all have sinned and fallen short. The real issue is, what will you do when you have? Many of us continue to live in the moment of that past shortcoming, allowing that to become a monument that we have erected. We go back and revisit it, living in that terrible moment of disappointment. Peter had his moment when he denied Jesus 3 times. We know Peter disappears from scripture for a short time only to reappear in the upper room in Acts. Where he was chosen by God to be the one to introduce the Holy Spirit to the world and lead 3000 men to salvation! DO NOT allow moments to become monuments. Have no regrets.

In our series The gifts of the Spirit, we are looking into each individual gift of the Spirit found in 1 Corinthians 12. We must begin to have an understanding about these gifts. Who they operate through, how they come, when they come, whats expected as they manifest. So much confusion when it comes to these gifts. The apostle Paul knew this when he said, "I dont want you ignorant about these gifts." Today we are looking into part 2 of the gift of faith, lets look in the Bible and see the examples of this gift in operation and how it works with other gifts as well.

In our series the Gifts of the Spirit, we are looking into each individual gift of the Spirit found in 1 Corinthians 12. We have discovered there has been a great misunderstanding about these gifts and what they do, who can have them, how they function and operate and how we have, at times, mistaken the gifts for many of the things we have all been encouraged to do by faith. The Apostle Paul said he did not want us ignorant concerning these gifts because they are supernatural and are given as the Spirit wills to profit all. Today we are looking at the Gift of faith. We know this one has the potential to be misunderstood as we will see in this podcast because there are actually 4 types of faith mentioned in the Bible. Lets look through these and at this gift and see whats what, so that we can understand and know when the gift is in operation or, is this something that I have been encouraged to do through the hearing and believing and the doing of Gods word. Romans says, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Corinthians said to one is given the gift of faith. Lets talk about it.
